Slices smoothly and easily. I LOVE making zucchini "spaghetti" my kids go crazy for it. We eat a low carb diet so of course this means no pasta. I have been looking at these kinds of slicers for a long time. But didn't want to put the money out on something that didn't work. The slicer came with a brush to clean it with, the top part as a guide when you vegetable gets down and a little instruction booklet that came with a few recipes. I will say it's not so left handed friendly but still usable. It came with a cleaner brush as well to make it easy to clean. You just put your vegetable in the top and turn the slicer and it slices easily! I eat a lot of veggies and raw food and believe me this is one piece that you want to have on your kitchen. Great spiral slicer, will last for a long time and you will be able to eat fresh veggies every day.
